About Dr. Stacey
Dr. Paul Stacey is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, licensed to practice in Ontario, BC, and Alberta. With a diverse background that spans medicine, occupational therapy, and even music, Dr. Stacey brings a unique perspective to his medical practice and independent assessments.
His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Music at McMaster University, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. He later pursued his medical degree at the University of Sydney in Australia, completing his specialist training back at McMaster University.
In 2015, he earned his Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and further honed his expertise with advanced training in Pediatric Physiatry at McMaster Children’s Hospital.
Clinical Expertise
Dr. Stacey’s practice is broad and deeply impactful, spanning adult and pediatric rehabilitation:

Rehabilitation Care: Provides inpatient consultation at Hotel Dieu/Shaver Hospital for stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Spasticity Management: Active in multidisciplinary spasticity clinics in Hamilton and at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Pediatric Clinics: Works at Niagara Children’s Centre and McMaster Children’s Hospital, where he provides care for children with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and other neuromuscular conditions.

Outpatient Interests: Musculoskeletal and physical medicine, ultrasound-guided procedures, and pediatric rehabilitation.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Stacey has been qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in the area of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Beyond Medicine
When he’s not in the clinic or the courtroom, Dr. Stacey’s life is just as full. He is passionate about CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys time on his hobby farm, where he cares for fainting goats, miniature ponies, chickens, dogs, and cats.
